voodoo
i have a friend from ukraine and she has all kinds of weird superstitions so i have this idea that the ukraine must be a haven for spiritual oppression. i subconsciously think america although morally decayed is not a place where a lot of voodoo, witchcraft, and superstition are prevalent. you know, white picket fences, split level homes, 2 car, 2 child family's, provides a good cover for satan and his work.
so this week i have realized that the story of job plays in my head often and i use its content in the ways i handle situations. for example. job had everything earthly taken away from him.
so i try to play down the good things in my life or make them seem not quite so good, or deny their very existence, so that i wont loose them.
superstition? voodoo? witchcraft? or idolatry?
all of the above.
i am like the guy from matthew 25:14-30 who hid his masters talent in the sand.
lesson:
-don't be that guy. he was was called worthless and thrown into the outer darkness.
-trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
-God, our master, doesn't loose.

Every good and perfect thing comes down of the Father of lihgts. He want all that is good for his children. Sometime in the valley of teaching we long for the mountain top experience, but then realize it's in the valley of teaching we are the closest to our Father that loves us.
Fear comes from Satan not of God. We are to rest in his arms. sometimes a vision must perish but God always gives a newer more perfect vision.
We can look back and see why God did this or that with our lives, and sometimes we never know.
But one truth we do know is this, God want the very best for us,and we know he has never failed a promise. So sometime we have to take his word and pray it back to him. He loves that. {God you promised me in your word)
